Temperature Mapping/Validation
Autoclave : Performance qualification with temperature mapping on site.
Temperature mapping consist of totally six cycles. Three cycles to demonstrate the uniformity of temperature within empty chamber, and the other three cycles in loaded chamber condition. This is done to demonstrate that temperature distribution in the loaded chamber is acceptable and that the items within the chamber receive a uniform heat treatment.
Data is collected in printed format from up to six different points within the chamber.
Temperature uniformity is considered acceptable if the deviation is ±1ºC of set sterilization temperature.
Note: Other alternative methods of validation can be used such as Biological indicator studies. These can be done by the laboratory staff.
Note: Every OSWORLD Autoclave is validated prior to dispatch at the factory. Those customers who do not require on site mapping may request for FREE copy of factory mapping cycle data sheet.
